Jane Blackwood, Managing Director and HR Consultant

With more than 20 years’ experience, Jane has delivered expert consultancy work in every aspect of HR. From advice on recruitment through to redundancy, policies, procedures and employment law, her knowledge has enabled all her clients to become legally compliant – and stay that way.

Having worked at senior management and Board level, Jane’s expertise has led to successful outcomes in mergers, management buyouts, acquisitions, and divesting parts of businesses.

Jane has a speciality in coaching and mentoring managers, working together to improve their performance and skills. She presents regularly at the Cranfield School of Management.

Sian Shill, HR Consultant

With more than 20 years’ experience within the corporate and charity sectors, Sian is a very strong, all-round generalist.

Her roles have included essential attention-to-detail elements such as payroll, benefits and data management.

Sian’s experience and skills lie in recruitment, job evaluation and management reporting, as well as employment law, and policy and handbook development. Her compliance-driven know-how has been evidenced by the design and implementation of numerous new onboarding and leaver processes.


 

Helen Midson
HR Consultant

Helen is CIPD Level 7 qualified with a breadth of HR experience covering the entire employee lifecycle.  Her experience includes organisation design, performance, reward, talent, employee relations, engagement and retention.

She has experience with diverse workforces in both large unionised multi-nationals and SME’s, in industries including engineering, technology, financial services, catering and security.

There aren’t many situations that Helen hasn’t seen in her career.  She has a strong understanding of employment law and seeks to resolve employee issues through pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.

In her spare time she loves to travel with her husband and son and has visited in excess of 50 countries.  Her last big trip was a family holiday through the Deep South of America in an RV.

Gemma Bromwich
HR Executive

Gemma started her career working in retail and is very operational focus.  She then moved to work into the charity sector.
Her specialises in helping clients manage their employees through their full lifecycle.
Gemma is a Level 5 qualified and has extensive knowledge in with HR database management, contracts and handbook development as well as building effective relationships with stakeholders

Caroline Graham Caroline Graham, Health and Safety Consultant

Caroline is HR Business Consultants’ Health and Safety expert, offering advice to SME-size businesses who may not have the expertise, time or the resources to set up these essential requirements.

With a strong background in customer service, she takes a client-first approach for your peace of mind.

Caroline’s jargon-free know-how will help you avoid costly, reputation-damaging prosecution and compensation claims. Equally important, your company can protect your staff and clients by reducing the risk of accidents and absenteeism, and help it to remain competitive through a proactive approach.
