As an employer you have want to introduce benefits for your employees but are they valued? To be honest most employees forget what they are not long after they start, other than holiday which is visible to them on a daily basis, some in fact forget that they are enhanced. So how do you ensure they are valued or wanted?
Firstly you need to educate your managers, so they can remind employees when they meet with them, for example if they are becoming sick a lot and you offer private health the line manager can remind them of this benefit. Are they taking up the offer of a gym membership to keep them healthy? If they say they are too busy with work, the manager can discuss the work load and ensure they make time to go.
You can write to your employees every year to remind them of the benefits that you offer, but will they read it? People listen to people they like the interaction, so maybe you should ask employees if they value them or what benefits they would like by conducting a survey.
People like flexibility so it maybe this could be the biggest benefit you can give to them. Read my blog on flexibility to find out more.
