Do employees appreciate their company benefits? If not, what can you do to promote them?

To be honest when they are looking for a new job yes they do appreciate them, but when in their role well no they don’t, they seem to forget. Ask any of your employees what the company benefits are and you will find they cannot recall them, but they will remember how many days holiday they have per year, as they are reminded about it.

What is important to them is being valued.  Recognition, taking time out to talk your employees to ask about them, one to one’s and giving them direction as well as job satisfaction are all major factors.

If someone is looking to leave the company, the benefits will only keep them for so long. Don’t get us wrong company benefits are very important as it can help your business stand out from others as well as help minimise staff turnover.  So when you give them a salary increase, remind them of the other benefits.
