Do you review your benefits?

The HR Blog

So you have set up the benefits, you have put them in place, put them in offer letters and updated all the employees regularly so they are aware of them, but do you review them?

Why not on an annual basis, look at what you are spending on benefits, then speak to the providers to see if they are using them? They will be able to provide a report to show them. There are some like Life Assurance where you hope no one is using it, but you can ask the employees if they value it. Then you can see if they are using the discounted gym, private healthcare, perk box. If not shake it up and get some more in.

Rather than leave it to the company to decide what is best, why not ask for volunteers for a group to work on what the employees would like. You will be surprised what they come up with and they can go to their favourite sandwich shop to see if they can get discount for the whole company.
If you don’t ask you don’t get.
