No one likes making someone redundant or making a change that may not be well received. You may find you approach it the same way you would taking off a plaster, just rip it off and hoping the pain would go away quickly. Unfortunately, that is not the right approach and often to making mistakes or miss opportunities. You need to familiarise yourself with the process, have a plan which may take longer with the consultation, but it is the right thing to do. Remember you need to listen, document, and respond.
